Jamie Price, J.D. left the ranks of Fortune 500 America in 1997 with the intention of creating positive change in our world. Since then she has worked to establish the American Foundation for Tibetan Cultural Preservation and it’s imprint program, Tools For Peace™. Jamie is the Chief Editor of the Tools For Peace Personal Mandala Workbook.
Linda Maxwell is Co-Executive Director and Co-Founder of We Care for Youth, a California not-for-profit dedicated to the well-being of youth and their families. She has been teaching methods of non-violence and violence prevention since 1991.
Dr. Marilyn Stoner’s interests in Tools For Peace are a reflection of her commitment to social justice and work as a nurse. Marilyn works in several countries, assisting people who are dying and helping others to understand the dying process.
Caitlin Kara graduated from Mills College in 2009 with a degree in Child Development, Education, and Alternative Learning. She completed a yearlong study, How To Be Mindful When Your Mind Is Full on countering bullying in school-age children using Mindfulness and the Tools For Peace curriculum. Since graduating, she has worked on implementing Tools For Peace in classroom environments by aligning the curriculum with academic courses of study.
Gabriel Penaloza is a graduate of Philosophy and has been involved in education and finance for over 10 years. His experience ranges from education administration and teaching, to finance and marketing. He has created and implemented an International Baccalaureate (I.B.) high school English curriculum overseas, administered federal grants to run after-school programs in south central Los Angeles, and has coached and mentored students around the world.
Loren Witcher, a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, is a graphic artist by trade and has taught art to children in museums and after-school programs since 2004. His tremendous dedication and talent help to provide a truly memorable experience for all participants as he works closely with the staff and the Tibetan Lamas in Tehachapi. With his completion of the facilitator training, we are happy to welcome Loren as a full time member of our team..
